    hi folks...

bought my OH an Archos 10.1... thinking it was a great buy... having MAJOR problems getting it up and running...

Internet browser itself is fine.. but say you want to watch/play any games etc it is telling me that i need flash but for some reason I can't get it to download at all...

Typical example... trying to play games through facebook. It looks like its loading and then just that little green and black arrow comes up instead of the game. Im not the most techie person in the world but I can find my way around a pc/tablet easy enough but having absolutely no joy whatsoever getting this thing formatted.

    Anyone any ideas????

Which version of Android is currently intalled on the Archos? If it's an older model, you'll need to upgrade to Android 2.2 Froyo to enjoy flash support.

    Do the following:
    1. Using the archos market, install an app called "Arctools".
    2. Run Arctools app - follow instructions (press button basically) - this will install the proper google market.
    3. Now open the android market and search for flash, you should find flash 10.3, install this.
    4. Now stuff should work, and you can install a lot more stuff from the proper android market if you want.

Note flash performance is pretty slow, so even tho it works it might not be really usable.
