    Hi all,

I was planning on bringing out my good bike tomorrow. I was doing a check on it and could only change gears from 6th to 10th. Lever was just making a loud click and wouldn't go below 6th.

Got the groupset this time last year, and only used it up to October.

Anyone ever come across this before.

    Thanks.

That's what you get for buying cheap bike gears!!!

Any chance the gear cable has been adjusted since the last time you were out on the bike?

Just to be clear, are you having the problem when clicking to go to smaller cogs - i.e. to slacken the cable? If so, is the cable slack all the way to the derailleur? If it is, then the derailleur is stuck somehow. If it isn't, then the cable might be experiencing problems somewhere earlier in it's length.

If it's the derailleur that's stuck and the cable is slack going into it, can you manipulate it with your hand at all to help it towards the smallest cog?
