Long posts

What is the longest post that has ever been posted on boards.ie?

This is the longest I could find so far, but it's more of a copy & paste job so probably should not qualify. It comes to 15,591 words.

    Any better examples?

Most of us are probably prone to long posts at a certain stage when a debate starts to get into a lot of extensive detail. It's hard to know how to avoid them. But it would be interesting to know what categories of discussions provoked the longest posts.

My guess would probably be religious topics, where facts and details are barely present, and the waffle potential is high?

I tend to skip through long posts in AH unless I'm directly involved in the discussion or it's from someone whose* posts I pay attention to.

    I appreciate succinctness.
    TL;DR?

I thought there was a limit to how long a post could be, like 10,000 characters or something?
