Thinking of purchasing one, currently using a Mac.

Never had an Ipad before, use a dongle for internet on the Mac, wireless broadband isn't an option at the minute.

Can I use the dongle on the iPad or is the bulit in internet fast enough ?

Sorry for the silly Questions, any help appreciated.

You can't use the dongle directly but you could set up wireless internet sharing from your Mac using the dongle, if the dongle allows it.

Would that mean the laptop would have to be on and the dongle inserted to able to use the wirless internet ?

Yes. The mac would distribute a wireless hotspot.

    Hi

I had the same problem and bought a Dovado Router to sort it out

You plug in the dongle and it creates a wireless network that any of your devices can connect to.

I assume this would have the same effect as the dongle ?
