I had a bad experience with a 2004 Clio but others seem to think they are a good car.

Being honest I liked the one I had but it literally fell apart around me. Having said that I'm getting dirty thoughts about them in 1.4l form as they seem to be decent value

My uncle buys the new model every time one comes out or changes every 4 years, which ever comes first. without fail for the last 15 years he has had endless woes with electrics failing after very low mileage. Electric windows, immobiliser, ecu, central locking, and those are just the problems he tells me about. The only people who will take them as a trade in is the Renault garage so he is tied into an endless loop of failures!!

why on earth does your uncle continue to buy the Clio then?? Could he trade it into said garage for another car, like a second hand non-clio model?

My wife has a clio (01) and it's never let us down. She has it serviced regularly and it's all good.

get E250 off the price and make sure the warranty includes everything and you have a decent buy.
