Omega Seamaster 300 M GMT

Afternoon gentlemen, long time lurker first time poster here. Only entering the world of watches and this forum is very interesting.

Anyway, in the market for my first major timepiece and I was looking for some advice. I had in mind something like the Omega Seamaster what kind of money would we be talking for one? New or used and I'm open to other suggestions.

I would keep an eye on the boards and adverts.ie and try and pick up a nice pre-owned. Better value for money. A nice pre-owned full size will probably set you back €1,500 maybe a little less.

This would be a bargain alert.
Not a GMT by a SM 300 "Bond" blue faced with the co-axial movement and he is only looking for £1250.

I've only heard good reports. I am buying a Speedmaster at present. Watches are sent away for a full refurb and service before shipping to you. Mine should be here in the first two weeks of April.

I recently sold this one for about 1300 euro which is much the going rate for one in good condition

I got a 6 year old, 2531 Seamaster last summer for €1,200. That seems to be the going rate for a pre-owned Auto but great value for money.
