Recommend a fitness training program to use at home

I've let my fitness slide for too long and am determined to do something about it. I'm prepared to make a full lifestyle change.

    My stats
    Age 41
    Sex Male
    Height 5'10"
    Weight 13 stone 12 lbs
    Waist 42" (At the navel)
    Waist 39" at narrowest point
    Hips 41"
    Neck 17" at narrowest point

    According to http://www.scientificpsychic.com/fitness/diet.html
    my body fat% is 27.7%.

So as you can see I'm in fairly bad shape.

I'm working from home and can devote plenty of time almost every day of the week to a fitness program.

My end goal in this and I know it might take some time, hopefully time is something I got is to get into fighting shape - so obviously I have to walk before I can run but would ideally eventually want to do the sort of training that a boxer or martial artist might do. Short term I guess I need to reduce body fat while hopefully gaining a bit or at least not losing much muscle mass.

So if anyone can recommend a full exercise (best if it included a diet plan) program whether that's via book, online training rather than individual execises to do that would be good for me to follow at home I'd appreciate it.

Note I don't live anywhere near a gym so most of my exercise will be done from home.

Thanks Rachel. Yeah I saw P90x and it appealed to me, but then I've read elsewhere that it's a gimmick so got turned off it. Obviously it works for you though. Anyone else got opinions on it?

I see that Athlean-X seems to be highly recommended on this thread http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056404762&page=2.

Would it be a good choice or a bit too tough for starters?

Convict Conditioning (see the thread at http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056185716) is simple and progressive training program you can do at home. Just few basic exercises for whole body workout, starting with very easy ones - e.g. wall push-up.

Cheers meijin - it looks exactly what I'm looking for. :)
