    45k$ is an extreme exaggeration but generally yes, weightweenism is pricy as hell.

    Very true, but there is budget weightweenism..

    I'm working with about 800 euros and looks like I can get an MTB below 8 kg (17.5 lbs)

    Admittedly a lot of hawking on ebay and speccing, but that's the fun part.

    Will post the results if/when its complete :)
