Hey, I was wondering as many insurance companies offer pay monthly, are you allowed to skip months? So lets say I pay for april, then don't pay for may (obviosuyl dont drive in may then) then start paying on june again and be covered again? Or would they require payment like for a year straight every month?

Can't do that but I think you can freeze insurance so that it stops ?

At least you can for bikes for winter etc.

You can't skip paying, but what you can do, is to suspend your insurance for a month or more.
After suspension period is over and you want your policy back in force, you can apply to them for refund of a premium paid during suspension period.

if you skip a payment any month they can demand the rest of the year's outstanding balance up front or cancel your cover
