    Hi guys,

I know theres been multiple threads about this but none that are very uptodate and alot of them are very confusing.
Some say to stay further away and others are recommending places right at the full moon party beach. I was wondering where someone would recommend for a big group to stay in June. Because we're going to be there for 5 nights we'd like somewhere that is central and safe with a good atmosphere (too much to wish for?!) Is it worth staying further out if we're just going to be paying for taxis continuously as I saw one poster mention they do fleece you at the islands. We would like to stay on the island though and not have to take the ferry across.

Any tips/recommendations would be really appreciated!

Hi I stayed on the island of Haad Yuan, there are loads of islands a small distance from the full moon parties. We'd stayed in beech huts they were fantastic and very safe. But common sense applies don't leave any valuables in them unattended. Most resorts will have safe rooms though.

Try googling Haad juan, there should be a lot of you tube videos!

We stayed in Rin Beach Resort which is right beside the pier. it was dead handy cause it was only a 5 min walk to the haad rin beach but it was still far enough away that when (and if) you want to sleep you wont hear anything from the beach. we were there over xmas and there was partys on the beach every night. tommy resort looked really nice nice pool and the accommodation looked nice too but its right on the beach. it just depends on how much sleep/random people walking though your resort you want.
