It was there fault mate so they shouldnt come after you for the money. However I feel that if you try to deposit funds to you're account they will deduct what you owe them until you're account is no longer at a negative balance. Email them before you deposit and explain the situation. Sometimes as a gesture of good will they might let it slide and let you keep the money, but don't get caught out whatever you do. ;)

I haven't contacted them yet as it's late now . Another winning bet went in but only reduced the balance . Ill ring them in the morning and see what they say . Can they come after you for the money if you keep it ? PP arent exactly going to go out of business if I was to keep it .

Na but your account will remain in a negative until you deposit money to bring it to a neutral balance.

I'd close it or just not use it

Where was it withdrawn to? I'd just not use the account to be honest.

To my laser card . Ya if they can't legally force me to then that sounds like a good option

I had similar situation with a gaa bet recently where game finished in a draw but my team won after extra time. I withdrew funds and cancelled card straight away with my bank and removed card from my account.

They e mailed me following day saying they would honour my bet as a goodwill gesture which i was surprised about as return was over 1200.

Unusual situation was that a friend who had bet of 100 on same team had his changed to a loosing bet. he contacted them with a copy of my mail but they said it was their discretion asto which bets they honour.

Think best thing to do in this situation is to remove card from ac once money is transferred.

Just checked my Online account and they have honoured the bet for me :D:D €372.21 Better off :D:D I hadnt taught of cancelling my card at all to prevent the money being taken back out if they went down that route . i must check any loosing bets sooner if this happens every now and then...

Well done dont lose it all back.

Bookies cant just take money back off a card without your permission.

    Could you imagine the headlines.

"Man loses house because Paddy Power took his mortgage money out of account without permission "

My usual bets are 5-10 euro so Ill be a while loosing that . I'd have been sickened if i'd lost that bet . It took a while to build up my winnings to that level and that was my bet before i took out my winnings to start from scratch again . the odds were only slighty better compared to a man city win.

I think i should do the lotto tonight ...

As Robbie1977 correctly says a bookie cannot take money from your bank account/card unless you have authorised them to do so.
They make the mistake, they'd have to correct it.

They wont come after you. Its would cost them more in solicitors fees for one reason.
