15-03-2012 7:57pm#1A lot of lads and lassies in the classic car scene take part in local parades on Paddy's Day. I thought it would be a nice idea to post up pre-event in this thread where you're going to be if you're taking part in a parade. We can report back with photos after the gig and also let non-exhibiting enthusiasts know where the closest spot is to them to spot some nice metal!

I attended the Parade in Baltinglass with the "West Wicklow Classic & Vintage Vehicle club". After the Parade I was parked up on the side of the road when a man walked over and said he wanted to complain about my driving, when I looked at him he said he was joking and he owned OKI "Stag" back in 1980. We had a nice chat telling me how it was his pride and joy but also his heart ache as well. He joked about having spare heads in the boot !! and his daugther took a photo of him sitting in OKI and gave it a Rev or two. When I got home and looked in the history file, there was a huge amount receipts in the folder his name, when I added them up he was nearly to the penny he spent on the Stag!! Well lets put it this way you would of been half way to the value of a new Golf for the amount he spent. When he asked me did it give any problems over heating I nearly huged the "wooden" lamp post and said No!!
Just thought I would share this little story. Anyhow there were a few very nice late 70's and 80 cars at it, and here are a few photos from the day.
