    I just got a new PC delivered to my desk here in work:

    Intel Xeon 3.07GHz
    12GB of Ram
    nVidia Quadro 4000

    They think i'm trying to decode the mysteries of the universe or something?!?! flip me! nice!

    so what do all you mere mortals have? :P

    If your building complex 3D models that's probably just a decent PC at todays standings. A lot of the new design software is starting to take advantage of this new hardware so I think design businesses are going to need these kind of specs over the coming years.

    very envious - mine has 1gb ram - and locked in to ie 7

    as long as I avoid internet pages with pictures it works ok and doesn't freeze up for long :(

    I'd say I lose an hour a day on freezes/overload/restarts when I'm trying to run work related software. Badly needs upgrading.

    You IT department badly needs some firing. If employees loose one hour of productivity each day, the IT crowd is worth ****. ;)
