I bought my car last August from a garage in Dublin. It was a UK import and the garage registered it for me when I bought it, so it now has an 08 reg plate. When do I need to get my first NCT done? Cheers!

It's due, four years from the date of initial registration.

You can do the test up to 3 months before this date.

Correction - 6 months before this date.

It's 6 months earlier for first NCT and then 3 months eariler for any consecutive one.
