PSP - Worth getting?

    Hello all,

I was just wondering if the PSP is still worth getting and which of the models would be the best to pick up?

I'm mainly looking for it to play some Silent Hill games etc. I can get these on UMDs but I was wondering is it possible to get older games through the PSN also? Is the original PS1 Silent hill on there does anyone know?

I've looked at the E-1000 model but that doesn't seem to have Wifi so obviously rules out PSN purchases. What model would you recommend that can take UMDs and has the PSN on it also?

3000 series would be the obvious choice purely for UMD's and wifi access. However if you want to crack it and put custom firmware etc on it, you'd have to get the 1000/2000 series.

    Just for clarity:
    1000 -original
    2000 - slim version
3000 - last version with wifi
    E-1000 - newest "economy" model

Excellent, thanks. Wouldn't mind some custom firmware on it actually so may look into that option. 3000 series is still around £200 on Amazon and I'd nearly get a Vita for that money so I'll look into the earlier versions.
