EUROPA LEAGUE LAST 16 SECOND LEG
    Venue: San Mames Stadium
    Date: Thursday 15 March
    Kick-off: 1800 GMT

    TV: 64168521.jpg...and 3e

    Team News

Athletic Bilbao - The big news is that Fernando llorente is fit. There had been rumours that he could miss out due to injury, that would have been a massive plus for United, given how well he did in the first leg. Javi Martinez could be pushed forward into midfield.

Athletic Bilbao boss Marcelo Bielsa is set to recall Ander Herrera and Javi Martinez who were rested during the defeat to Osasuna on Sunday, along with defender Fernando Amorebieta following a suspension. Ander Iturraspe looks set to miss out after being substituted at half-time during their weekend defeat, in which the midfielder scored an own goal.

Manchester United - Long term injuries/ illnesses rule out Nemanja Vidic and Darren Fletcher. Micheal Owen is still yet to regain enough fitness to be considered and Anders Linegaard is still ruled out. Nani, Phil Jones and Anderson also didn't travel

Now the players that did travel: Ben Amos, David De Gea; Jonny Evans, Patrice Evra, Fabio, Rio Ferdinand, Rafael, Chris Smalling; Micheal Carrick, Tom Cleverley, Ryan Giggs, Ji Sung Park, Paul Pogba, Paul Scholes, Ashley Young, Antonio Valencia; Dimitar Berbatov, Javier Hernandez, Wayne Rooney, Danny Welbeck

The big news is that Antonio Valencia returns. The winger was in top form too before his injury so hopefully he can hit the ground running if he see's the pitch. Paul Pogba also travels. The hugely talented youngster made a surprise return to the first team after coming off the bench against West Brom. This was followed by reports of him agreeing to stay at the club in favour of a move to Juventus, but this is yet to be confirmed.

    Probable Lineups:

We've only won once in Spain, I think. They raped us at home. Premier League is the main focus. Not feeling too confident.

United to win 2-1 and go out on away goals, United have more pressing issues and this competition doesnt seem to be their main focus point.

Bilbao or still a good team who would trouble alot of EPL teams with their play.

Going to have a few quid on this tonight, United to win but Bilbao to progress.

I don't think Valencia will start, in which case, I hope to see this (in my dreams)
    De Gea
    Rafael - Smalling - Evans - Evra
    Carrick - Cleverley
    Welbeck - Pogba - Young
    Rooney

    Come on Athletic club :D

I would find it difficult to take if Man U let Athletic Bilbao dominate them as much as what they did last week.
Athletic can't play as well as what they did last week...can they?
If they do Fergie should sign a few of them up!

    My team woud be:

    De Gea
    Rafael Ferdinand Evans Evra
    Valencia Scholes Cleverly Carrick Young
    Rooney

With the intention of keeping more ball than them.
Obviously Carrick and Cleverly would have to do the chasing for Scholesy when we don't have the ball. :)

United to take a 2-0 lead early on and then coast until the 85min when a defensive lapse gifts Bilbao a goal.
    Alternatively they'll just have a comfortable 2 goal win. 3-1 I reckon.

I think this could be a cracking game, don't see either side being cautious - a bit like Chelsea/Napoli last night.

Does anyone know the frequencies for Channel 5 HD? I have the standard channel tuned in but having difficulty finding the HD frequency.

    I see

Talk on that thread of possible availability around last Christmas, anyone know if you can get it here yet?

    12266 H
    DVB-S2
    QPSK
    29500 3/4

You won't clear it without a UK card though. SD is FTA, HD is encrypted.

I hope we win but I doubt we will and it might just be the blessing in diguise that tips the league in our favour.

Its not beyond United at all.

A lot of optimism from Utd fans about this tie after being bossed at home.. I fancy Athletic to win comfortably.

BUT Utd do have that evergreen knack of getting big results when they need them, can't write them off.

As a neutral I just hope for another cracking, open game :)

You have to hope Athletic don't freeze in the headlights tonight when they realise what they could do.

I mean they could win four or five nil if they play well enough and score what they missed last week...or they could go into their shells and try to get a 0-0 draw. Still, I'd be more confident of them doing the job than I was of Napoli last night.

If you were to go on last weeks match, Bilbao will win at a canter, but the questions are, can Bilbao play that well again and can United play that poorly again?

I`d say the answer to both is no, but despite that can still see Bilbao going through.

I was apprehensive about our chances in the first leg, now even more so. We seem to be playing better away in Europe this season however and with Manchester United you just never know. I'm not even going to force a score predication as I just cant tell how this is going to play out. Just hoping for the likes of Jones, Evans, Park and Hernandez give a better account of themselves after a poor showing last week.

Team is almost guaranteed to be:

    De Gea
    Jones-Ferdinand-Evans-Evra
    Young-Carrick-Scholes-Park
    Rooney-Welbeck

Pogba on bench which is little bit encouraging about his future.

Still little worried on issue though.

I like the fact that we have reverted to 1 up front, should give us more muscle in the midfield. Some pace on the bench also to change things around.
Think we can win this and I can see bilboa ****ting themselves if they get off to a bad start.

Athletic didn't loose a single match at home this season, this record will still be alive tonight. Tough for ManUnited :D
