PIAB-respondent side

Reading through the PIAB's faqs for the Respondent, there appears to be no room for dissent re the injuries the Claiment alleges to suffer.
Is there any setting out of the point of view of the Respondent, or is he just boxed into a corner? To get his version across, does he have to go down the court route? Thanks

Basically PIAB dont have anything to do with liability. It was set up so they could assess personal injury claims if both parties were agreeable and to decrease the amount of injuries claims clogging up the courts. The respondent has the choice if they wish for PIAB to assess quantum.

So the dispute is over injuries allegedly suffered? Injuries etc need to be detailed with medical evidence and,or medico legal report. I would fail to see how a respondent would be in a better position to know over a treating physician.

Speaking personally here, when I had my accident the injuries appeared quite straight forward. Following checks in hospital turned out I had a hell of a lot more injuries than initially expected...... Still indergoing surgeries 18 months later
