whats the best way, i presume up the motarway but from there im confussed. im being told to take a right at noonans cross, then straight through 4 sets of traffic lites, right at next small roundabout, right at next roundabout, then the entrance to the hosptial is on the right.. tha AA route planner is giving me a different way. which is correct

To make it dead easy, go this way.

Turn right at newlands cross. Drive strait down that road (belgrade rd) till you come to a roundabout. Take the second exit (3 o'clock) then go straight through next roundabout and its on your right. Forget about traffic lights!

I drive past it twice a day!

Heavy traffic always about newlands cross. Belgard rd ok, no problems there but you get a bit of traffic around the hospital.

Just reading your first post again - its wrong! If you go right at roundabout and right again you end up in a big warehouse. LOL

Google maps gives good directions which can be printed off and brought with you.

you turn right at New Lands Cross onto Belgard Road and go straight for about 3km/4minutes then turn right at the roundabout which will be signposted for the hospital as well as Tallaght Cross, go straight on at the next roundabout and the hospital is about 800metres ahead on the right(at the next roundabout).

A tip for you; the car park there can fill up quickly at times so it may be full if your not there early. If it is, you can park in the underground parks at the M+S or Aldi in the complex outside the hospital; it's €4 a day.

thanks for that, i already hate the multi car park there, its one of the worst designed ive been in.& so expensive. what side is aldi/ M&S on, best directions from belgrade rd etc. or do turn on belgrade rd to get back to aldi. sorry im not used to dublin. thanks

Drive out of the hospital grounds and straight through the roundabout. Aldi is on the right and M+S the left and there is always tons of room in both. The Aldi one was free for a long time as well but if it's back to charged parking them the worst it will be is €4 for the day. Also, both shops validate tickets so if you have messages to get you might save yourself a few bob that way.

hey im from carlow too, attended tallaght hospital for years till they transfered to st james, turn right at newlands cross, head straight until the roundabout, turn right at that roundabout go straight through the next roundabout and turn right at the next roundabout.
If your not a fan of motorways you can head over to baltinlgass and up through blessington and that will also lead you there, you take a left at a set of lights and it'll bring up past the square towards hospital
