    It seems ok, with good enough payments from it. but is organic farming really profitable when there is such a low level of production from it??

    well,there isnt many other schemes open at the moment,that will give me over 40k over 5years,plus 40 percent grants on sheds etc,no meal bill,no fertliser bill,i wouldnt rule it out,when all is weight up

    Just wondering what type of farming and how many acres your farming, not been nosey, just i have seen something on it before that the most profitable organic farms have bigger blocks of land and self sufficient, ie grow there own grain, bedding , etc

    suckler herd,61 hecteres already doing red clover and rhygrass
