Strange starting issue - ford focus

    Guessing starter issue but uncertain -

    Occasionally the car does not start first time the key is turned. Does not turn over etc. Starts after 5 to 30 attempts turning the key.

    This ONLY happens when the car is sitting for 30 min to 1 hour. Never happens mornings etc, or when the car is off for a short time.

    Is this a typical starter issue or could it be something else?

    That would all depend on what year the car is, what litre or if its petrol or diesel.
