hey i was going to get my mum a set of new handlebars and grips for her MTB for a small present. She lives in the UK so i'd need it to be posted to her from a UK based website. any recommendations?

is there much to handlebars? She's a casual rider, nothing serious, i just know that her bars are bent, so any cheapish ideas?

    thanks.

if they are flat bars like above they are either 25.4mm or 31.8mm clamp

St John St Cycles have a good range, from a fiver on up. I got my wife a set of their own designed ergonomic riser bars, the Thorn MK2 Comfort Handlebars, pricey but hugely comfortable.

do you have a photo of the bike?

if it has a stem like this with flat bars, its more than likely 25.4mm

its not like that. its a Kona with a stem that mounts on both ends, if that makes sense?

    Cant find any pics sorry.

that would be a threadless stem, which is usually 31.8mm but 25.4mm threadless stems are still made, 31.8mm is the new standard size for both road and mtb. Do you know the bike model or approximate age?
