Irish Customers - Equal service

    Ok Here's one, I am a customer with sky for over 10 years and need a replacement box. Got one 10 years ago.
    If I live outside the the Rep of Ireland, they will send one out by courier for self install, I think €39
    Ahh, but I live in the South of Ireland and it HAS to be installed by a technician for €129
    Is it because there are no courier services available in the South or do we need a technican because we are not able to disconnect two cables and reconnect two cables or is it because we have so much money and have nothing better to do with it, than give it to sky. Any comments ?

    Just tell them to shove the new box costing €129, up where the sun doesn't shine and I'll be amazed if they don't offer it for free or at least substantially reduce the cost. Normally Sky will do just about anything, not to lose a subscription.

    1 box for 10 years!!!
    Tell them you'd like to cancel your subscription and move to upc.
    Tell them the box is faulty and you need a new one, they have to replace it

    Sky have had €3000 to €9000 from you.
    Maybe you need Sky Sport? If not a once off "Freesat HD" purchase can save money in the long run...
