Rear View Mirror Mounting Bracket

I have a problem i was hoping you can help me with. My Rear view Mirror fell off yesterday, and i'm going out to Halfords in the morning to get the glue kit thing i need to put it back on, however, i have no idea how to get the mounting bracket out of the mirror, Its from a VW Polo, its circular with a hole type thing at the edge, I dont want to force anything in case i screw it up. can anyone tell me, is it a screw in thing or something else?
