Would my JSA payment increase if I moved out of my parents' house?

Never mind. I mis-read the webpage.

Was on JSB from May 2009 to March 2010.

Have been on JSA since June 2010 to date, at a rate of €188, living with my parents.

The new maximum rate of €188 (for an adult over 25) introduced in January 2012 does not apply to "People who were at least 20 years of age on 30 December 2009 and became unemployed on or before 30 December 2009" - That includes me.

So, if I was to now move out of my parents' house (to rent a room in the city to improve my ability to look for work) would my payment increase to the 2009 rate for an over-25 living away from home?

    Thanks.

Hmm, you seem to have butchered the words on the site somewhat. It should read that you won't be affected by the budgetary measures introduced in budget 2010, not "the new maximum rate does not apply...."

The only way to get 2009 rates is with a time machine!

The maximum rate of Jobseekers for anyone is 188 Euro, unless they are also claiming for a spouse/partner or children.

Thanks, you're right, I mis-read the web page.
