I recently got a trial tan done for my wedding in a couple of months...looked great on, but once I had a shower the following morning like they recommended, it came out all patchy :( something I definitely don't want to be worrying about on my big day!

Can anyone recommend anywhere around Dublin city centre?
Or else Loughrea/Ballinasloe area in Co Galway..

My wife does this, from listening to her over the years, you can get patchy results from either the experience of the person doing the tan but also the tanning product itself. We're nowhere near the city centre so cant really recommend her but I would have been going to a professional shop, get the sample spray (20-25 euro?) and if good, return, if not, still return and complain and get money back.

I got a couple of bad ones myself but eventually found one to go with for wedding. Is it ok to name it here or should I PM? Not 100% on rules for this so just want to double check first. Its just outside the city centre.

as long as youre not connected to the place you can recommend.

Thanks Clint. Just wanted to check before posting.

I've no connection to it so Chocoholic you should try Urban Day Spa in Sportsco. It was the best tan I got. Usually I have trouble with them coming off in patches but didn't happen with this one. I would still get a trial in case but I had no complaints and will be using them for wedding day

would you consider a self applied tan?
I got an organic tanning product from here:
    http://www.naturalselection.ie/products/green-people-self-tan-lotion
It was recommended by a few ladies at weddingsonline, so I thought I'd try it out. It seems to work, but it's hard to know as I should've left a patch to compare it to. So far no streaks and doesn't look orange.

    Gatica,
    Does this
rub off onto white clothes do you know?

I was bridesmaid years ago, and the top of the dress was white and about an hour later from when I put the dress on the tan had started coming off on the top of the dress, under my arms... It was a hot day....:o
All the 3 bridesmaids had to dance with their arms almost glued to their sides in case anyone saw our now tanned dresses. Funny now, but embarrassing then and I'm now looking into tan that I can wear on my big day..

I've been reliably informed that you should get your spray tan done 2 days before event, and on day itself it should not rub off if it's a professional grade tan.

As earlier though it's only 20-25e for a spray tan, try out beforehand.

I haven't noticed that it comes off on regular clothes. It does say on the bottle to let it dry in for about 10 mins before getting dressed though, so I only put it on after an evening shower when I have the time to wait. I haven't worn anything white since I've started using it, so I don't know if that's more likely to stain. The inside rib of bras do get slightly browner though
