Unless I missed the thread, this incident seems to have slipped under the radar. Nine horses were killed at Edermine (nr.Enniscorthy) on the 7th March, when the 05.35 from Rosslare Harbour (a 2700 or 2900 unit ?) ploughed into them. None of the crew or seven passengers on the train were injured but they were trapped on the train for two hours before being taken off and guided back to the nearby LC. The train was damaged but eventually proceeded to Enniscorthy at walking pace. Needless to say the unfortunate horses were not thoroughbreds.
