To be honset there's literally dozens you could choose from.

Off the top of my head:
Orange County National - two top class courses, not hugely expensive, you can also get a deal to play both. PGA Tour School is held there every second year.
Celebration - a very good track
Shingle Creek - very good, a little expensive IIRC
Hunters Creek - great value, super layout, can be a little wet.
Orange Lake Resort - really good course too.

I was there in the summer and played the Disney magnolia course used for the childrens miracle network comp on the PGA tour in November (won by Luke Donald), nice course and great experience, $59 got me range balls, 18 holes in a cart. They have two other 18 hole courses and a 9 hole that we could play for free with the disney theme park pass we had!

    Enjoy it, Orlando is awesome!

Roughly how much are each of the above ?

    thanks

Celebration was expensive, close to 175 dollars for green fee and clubs when I played it. Nice course but over priced.

Orange County National was/is reasonable, I played it twice in Sept for $27 & $30 incl buggy (but I had a contact there so got a deal :))

Celebration, I don't know for sure. It was in 2007 and 32 of us were on a golf holiday where 6 courses were included in the overall package. There's no way we would have paid $175 though, its not nearly worth that kind of money. I would have thought its a "$60" course !

Shingle I think was around the $50 or $60 mark, they do early bird or twilight rates I think.

The others were part of our package in '07 so I'm not sure of the individual prices TBH.

You should look at World Woods its about a 90 minute drive from Orlando but their Pine Barrons course is exceptional. Somewhere in the region of 90bucks I think.
    Well worth the drive.

I played Highland Reserve... decent course & good green fees... think I paid $35 for a 1pm start... It's 7 miles from Disney on Highway 27... the entrance is literally just off the highway so it's easy to find...

Wait until you get there & get your hands on one of those Florida coupon books... there's great discounts available with these coupons...

Golf isn't really that popular around Orlando
Bit of a mickey mouse game really .....
try going to a basketball game, way more fun !

As mentioned both Orange County courses are nice but I think it is Panther lake that is the better of the two.
Harmony is a cracking course and well worth playing. It would be the first on my list if I were to go back.
Also Diamond Back is a top course though not as immaculate and pristine as the others but that is not to say it is not a good course or in good nick and is very competitively priced because it doesn't have the gloss of a resort course

I'd second Highlands. Good value course. Wouldn't be as good as Orange Country but still worth a trip. See if they do night golf when you're over, it's a good laugh
