Ebay, My auction over, have been asked for a BIN

I have a few things up on ebay. Auction ended unsold. A buyer who had already contacted me asking about combined postage, contacted again after auction saying she had missed the end and was still interested in products.

What do i do now?

Agree a price and then list it at that price for him.

Thanks Jor el, but if i was just relisting (without an interested party) i would reduce my auction price and put in a higher BIN price. So is it reasonable to suggest a price higher than the starting price was?

If i thought she would definitly buy them i might agree a lesser price IFYSWIM

Ask her what she is willing to pay you for the item, and then come to a happy medium, but dont relist it again as it could end up costing you more...

    hi,

i do a bit of selling on ebay and have been in this very position a few times in the past. all i usually do is to explain to the buyer the price you were hoping to get and if they were interested they would say yes and if not they would suggest a price they would be happy with.

i know its against ebay rules but to save on fees you could agree a fee outside of ebay but still use paypal which would give the buyer some protection if the sale went wrong.

you sound like an extremly honest ebay seller which is to be applauded because reading some of the posts in this forum we are a dying breed.

    keep it up

you could offer them to collect to save on postage but dont go out of your way, you have to remember that selling on ebay you intend on making money not costing yourself money.

you can always just put it back up and let them fight for it.

i think people will watch an item and leave it expire thinking that you will settle on a cheaper price but just relist and the right buyer will turn up eventually

See i knew i was missing something. Great idea to offer pick up. Thanks again.

will you be covered by paypal as a seller if you offer pickup? dont they look for proof of delivery?

thats why ebay warn against dealing outside of ebay because there is no come back.

i have done deals outside of ebay in the past but so long as both parties are happy that there is no comeback once ye part ways.

for your own peace of mind you might be better off relisting

I thought that pick up was a legit option as i have seen items for sale that say pick up only. Presumably you have to list them like that in the first place.

Anyway, she changed her mind before i had the chance to offer her pick up.

Never mind you win some ......

Thanks again for your imput peeps, i'll be back here again to ask more Ebay questions sometime soon.
