    Some drink spilled on the back carpet of the car ...just wondering has anyone good ways of removing the odur

    i believe a peeled onion chopped in half. The onion eats and soaks up the bad smells.

    (has been tested seemingly on today FM Ray Darcy show)

    Either that or even try Febreze if it's just the carpet...

    A few drops of Vanilla essence will sort it out. About €1 for a tiny bottle in any supermarket. Just use about 2 -3 drops as the more you use it can be very over powering.

    tried the febreeze but still as bad as ever..it was a friend that spilled a bottle of miller:rolleyes:

    you may need to shampoo and wet vac the carpet to get the smell out straight away.

    Wash the carpet, fairy liquid, or any carpet shampoo. You can use a vacuum cleaner to speed up the drying.

    You can rent a carpet washer and do the whole lot a bit better if you like. Think they are pretty cheap to rent. Use it in your house and car over a weekend.
