That would be between Newlands Cross in Dublin and the Dunkettle interchange just outside Cork - so probably in the region of 243 kilometres (152 miles) or thereabouts.

Soz. Would that not be from Dundalk to Galway via the M50, around 160 Miles or so.

Sure if you're going to do that it's somewhere between Belfast and Galway :p

Are we limiting it to official cities (there are 5) large towns, towns on the island ......,

Work has started on newlands cross to make it light free, so you'll be able to do Belfast to Cork.

Not physically though? I pass through it several times a week and saw nothing this morning anyhow. Will be great to have it gone. It really is an unneccesary pain.

There was some preliminary work in getting services moved a good while back and that the affected area is now hoarded off as you may see on this traffic cam. Are you sure you're not taking that as evidence of work having commenced?

Good to hear that work has started on the Newlands Cross junction project - if it turns out to be true.

Not really. Three traffic light controlled Toll Gates.

    This too shall pass.

Three traffic light controlled Toll Gates.

But these are essentially green as long as you've paid for your tag. So you never need to stop, only moderate your velocity.

Take out the one set of flashing amber lights (not exactly traffic lights per say) in Clarenbridge can you travel from Dundalk to M50 to Galway(oranmore) to Gort/Crusheen Motorway, Limerick Tunnel, M7 to kilcullen and this is it possible at Junction 11 to go back down the M9 to Waterford.... a total of 660 km.

I do stand to be corrected :(
