    Folks.

    I'm looking to change putters.

I currently use a 34" Odyssey marxman which has served me ok but I would like to switch to a blade putter.

Having borrowed a couple of blades to try out - I much rather the feel of them now to the mallet. Will also change to a 35" length as opposed to 34".

I've no idea what to go for though. Obviously a Scotty has the renowned name but are there any other good options out there?

I would prefer a club with a good bit of weight in it as well.

    Opinions please?

Also does anybody have any views on Yes putters?

    thanks

That really is just down to personal preference. I could be the cheapest or most expensive putter in the shop, it could be a lidls b-square or a solid gold scotty. It just matters what you like the look and feel of.
You have to trust yourself on this one.

    Funny enough exact same boat.

I was using an Oddysey Two ball for years. I've recently come back to the game and before I left I wanted to change my putter.

I took a "blade" putter out today and it felt so nice, my pace and stroke was alot better.

Went into the pro shop and put in an order for a Taylor Made Ghost TM110 for €104.

Thats it on Halpenny. My father has the same putter and swears by it after having a two ball, and after using it today and also during the last week I've definitely felt it comfortable and providing a lovely roll.

Will let you know how I get on ;)

Have you checked out the Golf Digest Hot List? http://hotlist.golfdigest.com/search/search.php?page=1&keywords=All&refine=y&Producttype=Putter&Yearinhotlist=2012

Lots of good info on there. I'd look to do some testing with the blade before I made the switch. Mallets have lots of useful technology in them to help weekend hackers like me.

    Best of luck!

I used a 2ball for years and I still like it, however I switched to the Yes! Callie, out of curiosity. I've been putting well with it recently, usually around 30 putts per round, so yes it works fine. I'll switch back to my 2ball after an errant round of putting, and then back to the blade after a few weeks.

It's whatever you, personally, feel confident with. So my opinion or that of others is quite meaningless. :)
