Season 2 of the Boards FIFA12 league will be starting within the next 2 weeks
Please sign up below with you psn and team you wish to play with

Teams who participated in season 1 can choose to keep the team they played with or pick another 1, until they decide which they want to do no teams from last season can be used by new players this season

Wouldn't it be a bit unfair to just let people pick on a first come first serve basis?.

Maybe any returning players are ranked on how they done, the lower the finish, the higher the pick, with the very bottom picking positions going to any new players then?

(FWIW Barcelona if no-one else agrees)

I agree with you in principle but that would mean it would take twice as long for the league to get started, From the point of view of trying to get the league up and running as quickly as possible your method wouldn't work imo

Season 1 everyone had their pick of teams and the players that are still left can keep them teams, There's plenty of 5 star teams to keep everyone happy

Season 1 got off to a flyer and then seemed to hit a dead end, this time around to keep everyone interested there's going to be a 3 game weekly minimum and if a player goes AWOL, walkovers will be awarded against that players team for the rest of his matches instead of letting new players in mid-season.
If we put a deadline of this time next week for all entries to be confirmed we'll have the league up and running by the 19th

I'd recommend separating the new players into a sort of ''qualifier league'' you can be sure a lot will drop off, best to avoid having two leagues disrupted by bringing new lads in every season.....?

I think they use something similar in the Xbox league

Yeah i like that idea, we have 3 or 4 spaces to fill between the 2 leagues

Should never expect to get a proper one going until you go through 2/3/4, there's too much traffic through here of the ''passive'' variety who aren't very active, generally you can rely on the more long term members(or high post count) to see these things through.

I think as well (long term) having a more sizable league with just one round of games might be easier, as I find after a while lads just end up playing two back to back, or playing one and slacking off, bit easier to concentrate your attention for a one off game.
(Also can slow things down 10 fold when lads slack off and they owe everyone 1+ games, and can void their fixtures easier with one round, as opposed to two where they might have took points off someone in round 2 before quitting, not fair for others coming after receiving walkovers)


Again that's not an issue until the league is established.

Just some ideas for the future.

That will be a mess, we'll see two more unfinished leagues.

Best to put them in their own, there's a load of them if there's to be no limit.
And keep the older players together so at least one gets finished.

no choice but to split them between the 2
3 leagues for next season

If players don't play they're out and that's the same for current and new players
Last season would have been a waste of time if we're just going to amalgamate the premier division and championship
For starters not even half the players who played last season have signed up to this season

Closing day for entries is Sunday 10pm so depending if i have a hangover on sunday or not it could start that night

It would be good if we could start Sunday as with the Bank Holiday we could possibly rattle through a few games.

I'll certainly be free (although could be too hungover to play Sunday morning....)
