Anyone see this guy this morning.

Was driving past Mahon going east and there was a cyclist, cycling contra flow in the eastbound overtaking lane. Was about 9 this morning. I rang Eglington Street once I reached Glanmire but that was about 10 minutes later.

Absolutely insane behaviour IMO. I cannot fathom the logic behind it. It's mainly old people who get confused and drive contraflow on motorways. But a young cyclist ?

Now that I think of it, the cyclist being under the Mahon Interchange at the time, must have either come down the Mahon Interchange and then proceeded to cycle across two lanes and then cycle contraflow or illegally have cycled contraflow through the Jack Lynch Tunnel.

Wait a minute? So he was cycling against traffic on a motorway? That's bizarre and stupid behavior

Yes. Although the SRR in Cork is only a dual carriageway and cyclists are allowed. Although they aren't allowed to cycle through the Jack Lynch Tunnel.

This might have been the same idiot cycling on the 120kmh section of the N25 near Dunkettle last sunday (no hard shoulder), no helmet, no high vis, and his hands in his pockets.
