    What you talking about willis? Both of these quotes are from the earlier seasons. Season 4 and 6 respectively.

    He is responsible for America not going metric, according to Doctor Sheldon Cooper, a crime against humanity.

    This speech in the OP more or less lost him the next election, Reagan election stragedy was more or less about the American dream is still alive and well. This speech was a huge political error.

    unfortunately this is why he lost the election. Pushing for fortitude didn't seem to sit too well with the Americans at the time.

    To be fair he was probably too 'noble' or idealistic to be a politician in the first place!
