    Hi guys,

I'm looking for an old manhole cover for a prop I'm making. Would anyone have any ideas where to find an old one lying around? (Obviously I don't want to steal one off the road!)

    Thanks!

Architectural salvage yard. But you are going to pay big bucks for one. If it doesn,t hev to be very old, a builders providors sells them.Metal scrapyard might have them, like Hammond Lane, but unless you know someone there, they wont be too keen on you roaming around.

take a cast of one, from one of Irelands ghost estates;)

You could also try the Cavanagh Foundry in Birr, Co. Offaly. They make most of the ones in Ireland including the modernist versions of figures from the Book of Kells etc. that you may have seen.
