    Just wondering if any one has stayed in Gloria Palace in Amadores, Gran Canaria, we are a couple in our 30's thinking of going here during the summer, reviews are amazing but a bit worried about surrounding areas as Puerto Rico has got a few bad reviews for being dated and tacky.. Puerto Morgan sounds very lovely but very quiet.. just looking for a relaxing holiday with good restaurants. Any reviews would be great. :)

    Hey fun star, I've been there twice. And I have to say its fab. It was about 6 yrs ago and I've nothing but good things to say. I went with my mum. Fab walks. Clean hotel.

    Great place.

    Puerto Rico is tacky but this hotel is on its own and 5/10 minutes walk from there. Lovely views out to sea. Two pools on two different levels looking out to sea, amazing. 5/10 minutes walk the other way to the beach. Form what I can remember this beach (Amadores) is not huge.
    Amazing setting, hotel carved in to the cliff. Glass elevator down to the footpath level.

    I would go half board, the food is very good in this hotel, no need to bother with the restaurants in the resort.

    Gran Canaria isnt my favourite place to be, but if I was there I would want to be in this hotel.
