Is there much involved in wiring up a GSM auto dialler to the Astec 49 Alarm system so that I can get rid of my land line. Any recommendations on types or are all the GSM diallers similar to install. thanks

Unless you can get an S22 external bell interface or an Astec relay card this is not going to be easy.

With a 49 there is no voice dialer built in to allow a GSM to be added. If it was a 49DV then there would be no problem. You would need to add a S22 or a output card to trigger a GSM to ring your phone. Check out some of the suppliers here to see if you can get either before going to the expense of buying the GSM.
