    i am spending 4 to 6 months of this year working outside Ireland can i claim back my PAYE during my time away

    Unless you fall within the new relief in Finance Bill 2012 -

    Section 12 inserts a new section 823A into the Taxes Consolidation
    Act 1997 to provide for a limited tax deduction for individuals who
    temporarily carry out the duties of their office or employment in
    Brazil, Russia, India, China or South Africa.


    - probably not.
