    as far as im aware OP, you need to inform SW of a change in your circumstances WHEN they change, not IF they change or when you think they MIGHT change.

    i may also be open to correction though from other more knowledgeable posters.

    Thank you xsibork for your reply, I'm just afraid of loosing everthing and still having to try and sell our home, 38000 is a lot of money but within a week of getting it if the deal comes trough we will have nothing left, I feel really selfish as I know they are people worse off then us. Thank you

    When your mortgage interest relief comes up for renewal you will have to declare that you were bequeathed a property. Even though it is not sold the capital value may be assessed for mortgage interest relief.
