Antique Cutlery Wanted

    Hi

    My mum adores antique cutlery and I'm on the look out for a set.

    Where should I look? Is it better to try to go to an auction to get value or are there dealers ou there that might sell a set to me without me having to sell a kidney to fund it ?

    Old cutlery sets can be found in most antique shops. However since some of the styles have been manufactured for well over 100 years, it's debatable as to what constitutes an 'antique' set. Possibly the knife handles distinguish older from more recent examples?

    There's plenty of cutlery on eBay.co.uk and it's not that expensive.
