Fixing a G&P Military Type 30mm Red / Green Dot Sight

I had recently bought a G&P Military Type 30mm Red / Green Dot Sight online, it worked perfectly for a few skirmishes. But when I checked my gear recently, it had turned out that the Red Dot Sight had been left switched on.
Thinking that the batteries had been worn out, I purchased a new set (hearing aid battery size). Even with the new batteries in, the Red and Green dots did not appear on the sight.
So I'm hoping someone here can help me out, as I'm unsure of how to repair a sight normally. If it turns out to be the wiring thats the problem, then I will have to get it sent off to my local techie to get it fixed.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Had the same thing happen to my red dot sight, it works again if I squeeze the battery cover and the dot selector together, as in towards each other and it'll work for a good while. It seems that on mine the whole part between the selector and batteries is a bit loose.

My friend has the exact same Red/Green Dot Sight and I had trouble with it before when I was using it. As richieffff mentioned, I too had to push the dot selector and and battery cover as well. The easiest way I found to fix it is to get a bit of tissue, fold it into a small square (Thick but not too thick) so it'll fit in the battery cover and just screw it on. It'll push the battery closer to the connectors or whatever, and it should be working.

    Hope this helps.
