Lilian Garcia kicked off SmackDown with a look back at the United States Title win by Santino Marella on RAW. There's a cage hanging above the ring
The cage is lowered and out comes David Otunga and John Laurinaitis. Laurinaitis announces Santino vs. Swagger for the US Title in the cage.
Santino Marella retained the US Title against Jack Swagger in the cage. Dolph Ziggler tried to interfere but caught a pair of Cobras from Santino. Santino escaped the cage to win after Vickie Guerrero accidentally hit Swagger with the cage door.
Backstage segment with Teddy Long begging John Laurinaitis to cancel Aksana vs. Kane but he won't. Ace then makes Long vs. Laurinaitis for later with the winner deciding if Kane vs. Aksana happens.
Drew McIntyre comes to the ring and John Laurinaitis has given him a shot at getting his job back. His mystery opponent is The Great Khali. David Otunga comes out instead and reveals Drew's new opponent.
Drew McIntyre beat Hornswoggle to earn his job back.
Mark Henry defeated Ezekiel Jackson.
Teddy Long beat John Laurinaitis, who was wearing black shoes and black spandex under his track suit. Laurinaitis started the match by telling Long to lay down for him. Kane came out but Randy Orton attacked him with an RKO on the floor. Out of all this Teddy rolled Laurinaitis up for the win.
Kofi Kingston and R-Truth beat Epico and Primo in a non-title match.
Michael Cole brought Sheamus and Daniel Bryan out to the ring for a segment. AJ Lee came out with Bryan and at one point he yelled at her and told her to shut up when she tried to talk. Cody Rhodes came out to pick on Big Show's WrestleMania history some more. Show came out as did The Miz and Randy Orton so we have a six-man match.
Big Show, Randy Orton and Sheamus beat Cody Rhodes, The Miz and Daniel Bryan. Kane came out after the match and brawled into the crowd with Orton. They fought back to the ring and Orton countered a chokeslam with an RKO to end the show.

Randy Orton left Kane lying 3 times in a week, either he has a ego or they have already wasted any question of who will win in their inevitable match at Mania. Are they doing anything with Christian, himself and Del Rio are at nothing the last month.

I think with the MITB match cancelled at WM due to Barretts injury, the likes of Christian,has littlle chance of getting on the Mania card. If they aren't going to be on the card, he will probably be held off tv until after Mania.

I expected Christian and Del Rio to be Team Johnny after their EC return

Edge going into the HOF means he will be at Mania so I would love to see some interaction between them but could be difficult with Christian as a heel

I think Swagger is headed towards the door post Mania unless he's subjected to a major character overhaul. The guy is considered a total joke by fans and obviously by management as well if they're having him job out to the likes of Santino. Its just not realistic to keep him on the roster as a job guy because of his size and excellent amateur background.

Keeping Christian off TV til after Mania makes sense I spose,especially if he's got nothing to do there besides inducting Edge into the HOF.

I honestly thought the US Title was gonna be exchanged like a hot potato but glad to see Santino didnt lose, go into mania as the 'milan miracle'

I kind of feel bad for Santino because his title win/defense is pretty much an afterthought with the stupid GMs feud.

True, but IMO the silliness with Long and Laurinitis overshadowed Santino's wins.

You mention Rhodes in a fued with Santino im thinking when the brand extension ends for good we may see a championship scramble/battle royal unification of intercontinental/us championship.

Why was Miz in the main event match surely Kane was the better option

Bryan gets better on the mic every week and loving the build for his Mania match with Sheamus so far

Santino is very well over with the crowd huge pop for him at the start

Laurinaitis looked like he was wearing a wet suit
