Anyone ever do the Gent Wevelgem sportive? Gang of us going over to see the pro race on Sunday 25th March and see how much our eyeballs can pop by doing it ourselves the day before in the sportive.
Would be nice to hear if anyone from here has given it a bash.

Didnt do the sportive but did the course (most of it) on my own when I was in Flanders for the summer. The hill is probably the main bit worth talking about and the graveyards I suppose but its ok its not to difficult. Think I went up the hill in a 39x15

When I did it the hard bit was the descent!! It is a new easier way thru the forest now.... but to cycle in Flanders is always good!

Thanks Morana, Think the hill you're talking about is the Kemmelberg. We watched the race from there last year and really loved the atmosphere. You must have guns of steel to go up that in 39/15 as the upper cobbled section ramps up to 18 %:D As an aside, are you involved with Finglas Ravens? I live in Finglas so was curious when I heard of their existance but have found it hard to find some up to date information on them.
