Possible dodgy buy and sell buyer

I have a PC up on buy and sell and someone contacted me looking to buy it but I'm worried it's a scam. The 2nd email after I give more information feels dodgy straight away because they seem to be in a rush to buy, they ask for bank account details to make the payment or paypal.

The only scam I think I could fall for is if they use an echeck to pay through paypal as it will bounce after I've sent the item. Can you tell the difference between check money that's not fully cleared and money that's fully lodged in the account? Or will paypal make it look like it's paid and just suck the money back out when the sellers check bounces?

I can go through with the sale if I can tell the moneys in my account before sending and then use registered post or UPS to send it at his expense.

Sell in person, only accept cash. That's the only real way to be sure.

If you accept payment by bank transfer that would also be safe, as they won't be able to reverse that. Paypal is kind of dodgy for sellers as there are many ways to be scammed that you cannot verify up front.
