    Hi!
I'm a 1st year Civil Law student in Nui Galway and to be honest I don't really see myself working in my chosen field in the future. Prior to sitting the Leaving Cert I had wanted to study Psychology in UCD and had put it down as my first choice on my CAO. Unfortunately I did not attain the required points for my 1st choice.
Although I had looked at NUIM I did not choose it due to the mathematical difficulty of it. Now, however I have decided that I simply must do Psychology in order to be happy with my career choice. In essence what I am asking is how I would go about switching course; cao or a transfer?
If anybody has any info on this I would be delighted to hear from you.
    Thanks!

Check the individual Higher Education Institutes websites, or ring their admissions offices. I know CAO handle some transfers, but there are strict rules regarding it, so I'd suggest checkin the individual HEI websites. Hope that helps
