dog barking at neighbours

any ideas of how to stop the terriers from barking at the neighbours in the back yard. if the neighbours are out in they're yard my two will run up and down by the fence wagging their tales and barking. Like there guarding our house. We've always had terriers at home and they've always been like this.
Think the neighbours are throwing us looks or maybe just being paranoid. they are walked twice daily sleep inside and are out for 5hours every day

good luck getting a terrier not to let the world know it's their patch :D

my girl has to let a bark at everyone that walks past the window. no matter what i say to her she just does it instinctually.
