A good friend of mine needs a new clutch in the above. So far, he's been quoted everywhere from €500 to over €1000. What should the job cost, using good quality parts. Thanks in advance.

There are 2 different clutches in them and one is about €100 more expensive than the other. I would say roughly €550-650 for the job depending on which clutch is in it.

So the €500 quote from a reputable indy is likely about as good as it gets?

500-550 sounds like a fair price provided its a 3 piece kit from a decent manufacturer (VALEO or LUK)
