Ok folks i seem to have a bit of a problem, im driving a 2001 ford mondeo that has astra alloys the size are 16s the thing is there is a shake in the car when i hit 70mph i had the wheels balanced and it still shakes i was told the problem could be that the astra alloys are not a good fit for the mondeo, i know the correct size for mondeo is 5by108 - offset, 35to50, bore 63.4, so does anyone have a clue what the size of the astra alloys are and if its not the wrong size then what could it possibly be?

    Cheers.

Have a search around here, depending on what model astra you have.

Searching for the Mondeo doesn't throw up any Opel cars with same PCD and centre bore, are the Opel alloys or aftermarket ones that happened to come off an Astra

5 stud Opel alloys are 5 x 110 on all models up until the Insignia which is 5 x 120.
Even using Spigot rings to convert the centre bore to suit the Ford won't solve your problem. Wobble bolts and spigot rings together will solve your problem as they will take up the 2mm difference in PCD.
If it were me, I'd just fit a set of Ford alloys.

Proper spigot rings and wobbly bolts would cost most of the price of another set of secondhand alloys me thinks
