Don't OLED have a short lifespan compared to normal LCD's? So You can expect your light to burn out quick and then cost thousands to replace one "bulb"

That doesn't appeal to me at all! What a waste of time and money. FFS.

What load of BS, can we please have some real engineering now please, you know, bits of the car that work and last, and not some acid induced waste of time and resources?

Based on an R8, the Q7 concept shows how design teams can have lots of fun building tech into vehicles that may never see light of day.

So companies should never put new tech in cars? Are you suggesting that Audi dont do real engineering? Perhaps you think that the R8 is as reliable as a lada?

I think most new cars break down due to lack of maintenance, if looked after properly most new cars will last for hundreds of thousands of miles. And I for one love new tech in cars.... But saying that I would only buy a car made by a company with a strong reputation for building cars that last (Honda atm)

You don't have to Google too far to find that Audi (like VW and BMW are below average when it comes to reliability). Audi would do better to get up to speed on the basics before messing around with this nonsense.

How about investing in dpfs and dmfs that last longer than 100k kms, or injectors that dont drive owners mad, johnos for example.
Tis like sex....Concentrate on getting the basics right first!

So the same people who do injectors, dpf's and dmf's design the lights? Companies have separate r&d and design/production engineering groups you know.

And its not like the VW groups cars are far less reliable than all the others. There is a reason why they have dpf's, European environment laws. Injectors and DMF's have become needlessly complicated, buts afaik its all to increase efficiently with cars getting heavier (also caused by European regulations, safety).

I'd almost guarantee that a Lada would be more reliable then an Audi.
