Anyone know what should be done with bought in calves that are not BVD tested ?? Should I get them tested ??
Also I have misplaced a sample as in I tagged the calf with the green Tag but didnt send it off I think it came out through a hole in my jacket someplace and now cant find it :(
Can I order a new tag for him or will it be too late
    FFS :(

Ring your tag supplier. I think they should be able to get you the tags you need.

what about testing older animals? like if selling a bull or buying a bull do you use tags or does your vet blood them?

If i order a replacement tag the calf will be a month old before he`s tagged and tested, would there be any problem with getting him tested by then (I haven't registered him yet either)

No problem getting it done but they recommend getting the sample taken as soon as possible (once the ear is dry) so the calf will not be exposed to transient infection (TI) that will show up as a positive and will need to be retested
